With the Jimmies leading scorer, Heidi Fiechtner on the sideline due to an injury, Mara Paulson (pictured) and Allison Epping stepped up and helped lead the Jimmies to a huge win over conference rival, Valley City State. Paulson scored a career high of 24 points and a career high of 11 rebounds, going 7-12 from the field and 10-10 from the free throw line.
The Jimmies led the majority of the night, including 40-37 at the half. JC opened the second half on a 14-2 run which gave the Jimmies a 15 point lead. This was a crucial run as the Vikings chipped away throughout the second half, but the Jimmies finished strong and held on for a 72-67 win.
Ali Edwards scored a season high off the bench with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Kellie Schuneman added 12 points and 5 assists, and Allison Epping had another strong outing with 10 points and 6 rebounds.
