On day two, the Jimmies battled Briar Cliff, IA. Briar Cliff has been noted to be a team in the GPAC that has the potential to be a very dangerous team, and they showed why. For the first 18 minutes of the game, the Jimmies controlled both ends of the court and opened a 17 point lead. Late in the half, the Jimmies had to sit 3 regulars due to foul trouble and this allowed the Chargers to close the gap to 6 points at halftime. The Jimmies opened the second half with 5 quick points to push the lead back to double digits, but once again the Chargers continued to battle back and eventually took the lead, but the Jimmies re-grouped and finished the game strong with some timely shots and free throws.
